Jon didn’t need to knock; Marcus was waiting for him. The big man’s gaze stroked his body as though he already owned it. We could be partners in this, fella, Jon thought. He tried to convey that message in his facial expression, but Marcus ignored it. He was too busy examining Jon’s bone structure, and how it might look under the lights. I’m meat to him. Never forget that.

“You’re late.”

“I’m sorry. Should I leave?”

After a couple of beats, Marcus stepped to the side, and the young man slipped through the door.
